Updating Your GWAVA Server
From GWAVA4
GWAVA 4 features an online updater to keep your GWAVA 4 server up to date.
The administrator installs GWAVA using the steps outlined in Installation. Each time the administrator logs into GWAVAMAN, the Welcome Screen informs the administrator of any new online updates.
The online updater brings your system up to date including any new features and bug fixes that are available.
To access the online updater, open the System Management subsection of the navigation area, click on System Management, and then select Online updates
- Note: You may view your previous update by clicking Click here to view the previous update activity log.
The administrator may download update packages from one of the GWAVA master server URLs provided, or specify a URL of their own. This permits the application of field test patches.
In addition, the update mechanism supports HTTP proxy servers. If your organization uses one, select Use Proxy Server, and then fill in the proxy authentication details.
You may save your settings as the default for the future by selecting Remember update settings for this server.
Finally, click Submit Update Request. The update process will begin.
After a successful update, restart your GWAVA system, by typing /etc/init.d/gwavaman restart. Be sure to restart the MTA as well (/etc/init.d/grpwise restart) if you have an MTA scanner installed.
- Note: Each GWAVA server must separately be updated.
