System Information
From GWAVA4
System Information lets you view your entire GWAVA Network in one convenient report.
The above screenshot shows a simple single server network.
The system information is divided into three sections.
System activation date: This is the date that the very first gwava installation was activated.
Servers known to this system: The OS, program location and status is written to the database by each server every time GWAVAMAN started. If a server is moved/restored to a different location and/or OS, this information will update to reflect the servers new situation.
The activation date is the date that this server was activated or joined to an existing GWAVA network.
Programs registered no this GWAVA network: Each component application that forms the GWAVA system reports its version information to the GWAVAMAN component at startup. Along with its version and descriptions, GWAVAMAN stores the IP address and date/time and IP address of the program when it connects. This information should reflect the last time the system was started.
In multiple server environments, each server is displayed grouped with its registered programs.
If a component has never been started, or cannot contact GWAVAMAN it will not appear in this list.
Here are a few uses of the System Information page:
- Documenting your GWAVA Network - the servers and their platform.
- Determining the IP Address/DNS host connection addresses of each GWAVAMAN component.
- Determining which GWAVA 4 Components are loaded at each server, what build/version is installed, and when the information was last recorded.
- Tip: If each GWAVAMAN server does not display similar system information, this can be helpful in diagnosing replication issues.
