Replication Manager
From GWAVA4
The Replication Manager is used in multiple server systems for advanced diagnostics. Under normal circumstances, administrators should never have to utilize the Replication Manager's functions.
To access the Replication Manager, open the System Management pane on the left side of the GWAVAMAN interface, expand System tools, and click on Replication Manager.
- Release requeued replication items - Immediately forces all the pending configuration changes on this server out to the rest of the system. GWAVAMAN automatically retries sending failed replication items every fifteen minutes, so this option should rarely be necessary.
- Clear the replicator queue on this server - Delete all pending configuration changes on this server before they are pushed out to the rest of the system. This option should only be necessary if you have had to significantly repair your replication system and want to avoid duplicate or inconsistent changes.
- Purge obituary records from this server - Delete all obituary records from this server. When a record is "deleted" from the GWAVAMAN Web Interface, it is not actually deleted from the configuration database until the record has been removed from all servers. Using this option cleans out the records immediately. It is usually only used when trying to diagnose database problems to clean out unnecessary items that clutter up the database viewer/editor.
