QMS Tools

The Tools function tab is only accessible by QMS (Quarantine Management System) administrators. The Tools tab was designed for advanced diagnostic purposes and for basic report functionality
For more advanced reporting functionality, consider purchasing GWAVA Redline, which will give you powerful management, monitoring, and reporting functions for your entire GroupWise system. GWAVA Redline also contains many more reports, with far more functionality with regards to formatting, searching, and sorting.
Reports
Reports that can be generated are listed here.
These reports are:
- Activity Report - list the most or least active users. These reports simply list users, sorted on a ascending/descending basis with regards to when they last logged in.
- Group Membership Report - lists the members of the selected group.
- Group Information - Lists a specific group and basic details such as the rights, addresses, settings, and event scope.
- Users with related ownership of addresses - Lists all users that share a Primary Address or a secondary address. Can be useful for finding users that are not consolidating their accounts, or potential security breeches.
- User Information - Lists a specific user and basic details such as the rights, group membership, addresses, settings, and event scope.
- Administrative Users - Lists all users that have an administrative account. Does not include GWAVAMAN administrators that have never accessed the QMS system.

You may print the report by clicking the Print button, or click the Back button to return to the Tools screen.
Database Viewer
With the Database Viewer, you may look at the raw data tables comprising the QMS system and perform basic SQL queries. The Database Viewer is (by design) read-only - you cannot alter any of the data.
To access the Database Viewer, select the Tools tab, and then choose a database. From the pull-down menu, select the table of interest and click Go.
You'll get an interface similar to
From here, you can enter multiple SQL queries based on the fields in the pull-down menus, and click Submit Query.
The databases are organized as follows:
- User Database contains the individual user and group accounts, including all settings and rights. Global settings and stored SQL queries are here as well.
- Data Database contains the core message information. Stuff like the From, To, Subject as well as Status and Event trcking.
- The Digest Database contains settings and information with regards to Digest generation.
