GWAVA 3 Migration
GWAVA 3 users can migrate most of their settings over to GWAVA 4, including:
- Virus Settings
- Oversize Messages
- Attachment Blocks
- Content Filters
- Fingerprints
- Spam Settings
- Address Blocks
- Archive Settings
- Exceptions
The settings may be migrated to any interface GWAVA supports, including the MTA, POA, and GWIA.
Migrating
Select a server that you want to install the scanner on, and from the Wizards folder, select the Migrate GWAVA 3 config.
Install the MTA, POA, or GWIA normally. (see the appropriate Installation sections).
In place of the Spam/Virus setup wizard page, the administrator will be prompted for the GWAVA 3 Configuration file
Browse to your configuration file, and click Continue
- Tip: The configuration file should be located under your domain. For example: vol1:\domain\gwava\config\gmtacfg.ini
Installation will then proceed as if you were performing a normal install, except a log window will appear to show you what was imported and what caused an error.
Proceed normally, restarting your interface and other programs as instructed in the standard installation instructions.
