Situation
How do I access a backup that has been TARRED?
Resolution
To access a TAR backup, complete the following steps:
1. If the TAR is stored on another machine or in another location, copy the TAR to the local Reload server. Simply mounting the location of the TAR is not sufficient.
2. "Un-TAR" the file. Using a command such as "tar -xvzf file.tar" should be sufficient to extract the contents.
3. Load the Reload interface and go to the profile for the backup that was just extracted.
4. Select to access backups. The date of the TAR will not show.
5. Select Browse. Enter the path where the TAR file was extracted.
6. A Reload POA should now be able to load using the extracted TAR backup.
