Environment

GWAVA 4 on Linux

Situation

When I type the command to start GWAVA on Linux (rcgwavaman start) it hangs.

Resolution

If GWAVA isn't loading when you run the command: rcgwavaman start, it is possible there may be another older build of GWAVA installed.  The best thing to do is to remove GWAVA completely before installing again, with the latest build.

1) Rename /opt/beginfinite
2) Search for any other GWAVA files that need to be removed by typing: find / -iname *gwava*
(The results will most likely be the pointers to load GWAVA in /etc/init.d/rc# and the script /usr/sbin/rcgwavaman)
3) Remove these files. There are usually 3 of them.
If you run rcgwavaman start now it should state that it can't find the file instead of hanging. You can now download the latest build of GWAVA and do a fresh install.

Note: Make sure you download the latest version of GWAVA, since an older build may cause this to happen again.
