Problem/Question:
Unable to access the QMS because it is no longer running.  If using Netware, there is not a removed address space on the 'system console' screen.

The QMS | Support log shows:
The QMS database is newer than what this program supports and cannot be used
DB connection failed, system cannot start until this problem is resolved

Resolution:
When the logs state  'the QMS database is newer then what this program supports' it means that the old version of QMS is being loaded (QMS 1) rather then the newer version (QMS2).   To load the newer QMS do the following:
1) (NetWare only) Browse to the directory <GIL>\assets\bin, and open the gwavaup.ncf file in a text editor. Change the line 'LOAD address space=GWAVA4QMS VOL1:\GWAVA4\ASSETS\BIN\gwavaqms /ConsoleLog' to 'LOAD address space=GWAVA4QMS VOL1:\GWAVA4\ASSETS\BIN\qms2 /ConsoleLog'.

2) (Linux only) Browse to the directory <GIL>\assets\conf, and open the services.conf file in a text editor. Change the line 'program    ! /opt/beginfinite/gwava/assets/bin/gwavaqms' to 'program    ! /opt/beginfinite/gwava/assets/bin/qms2'.

The QMS should stay up and running now.
